Most expensive luxury toys

Not only for the kids but for the adults as well who are young at heart...

We will travel to the world of toys and we will remember the lovely times of our childhood... Let’s explore together some toys which are really expensive and luxury...

1. The Masterpiece Rubik’s Cube
Who hasn’t tried to solve this unique riddle and put every color in order? Forget the cheap ones and be prepared to pay $1.5 million (€1.44 million) for this glamorous toy. Each side of the cube has 185 carats of precious gems such as amethysts, emeralds and rubies. The most expensive Rubik’s Cube is actually a fully functioning bejeweled toy, only too precious to handle.

2. Scrabble Swarovski Crystal
Hasbro Inc. commissioned for their 60th (Diamond) Anniversary of the popular board game the one-of-a-kind Scrabble: Swarovski Encrusted Board Edition, featuring more than 30,000 Swarovski crystals surrounding by a glass frame piece of art. This luxury board had an estimated value of $20,000 (€19,162) and funded St. Jude’s Research Hospital.

3. Golden Monopoly
Another board game we used to play is Monopoly and here is the world’s most expensive version. It is estimated to be worth roughly $2 million (€1.9 million). The 18-karat gold and jewel-encrusted Monopoly was crafted by jeweler Sidney Mobell in San Francisco in1988. It took him one year to finish this masterpiece.

4. L’Oiseleur
This is the most expensive toy of the world which costs $6.25 million (€5.9 million). L’Oiseleur (the bird trainer) is a mechanical doll dressed in renaissance clothes that have real pearls and gold and measures 1 meter and 21 cm (4 foot) tall. It took more than 15000 hours to be built. The doll has 2340 polished steel parts and is an automated figure that plays the flute.

5. Madame Alexander Eloise
This extremely limited Madame Alexander’s Eloise is worth $5 million (€4.79 million). There are only 5 in existence as she was created for charity by the doll designer Madame Alexander. This doll has an expensive taste also: it wears Christian Dior clothes, Oscar de la Renta fur and Katherine Baumann accessories decorated with Swarovski crystals and 9 karats of diamonds.

6. Steiff Louis Vuitton Teddy Bear
A cute teddy bear which its fur has real gold and its eyes are made of sapphires and diamonds that’s why it costs $2.1 million (€2 million). Dressed in Louis Vuitton travel gear this elegant teddy bear was made by the German toy manufacturer Steiff. It was bought by Korean businessman Jesse Kim and takes proud place in the Museum of teddy bears in the South Korean city of Cheju.

7. Diamond Barbie
The most expensive Barbie was designed by StefanoCanturi. This dream doll wears a necklace of 3 carats white diamond and 1 carat of square-cut pink diamond and has a beautiful strapless black dress. That luxurious Barbie costs $551,000 (€527,685) and it was sold at an auction for Breast Cancer Research in 2010.

8. Astolat Dollhouse Castle
Every doll has a house and here is the most expensive one. The price of this 29-room dollhouse was estimated at a staggering $8.5 million (€8.14 million). Its great value is attributable to its hand-made intricate 3.6 kg (800 pound), and 2 meters and 74 cm (9 foot) tall structure which was created by master miniaturist Elaine Diehl. Each room of this dollhouse is an artwork in and of itself.

9. Shimansky Soccer Ball
This $2.59 million (€2.48 million) soccer ball took 3 months to be created by South African jeweller Yair Shimansky. It made its world debut at the FIFA World Cup 2010. This luxury round piece of art is made of 6620 white and 2640 black round brilliant cut South African diamonds, weighing 3500 carats in totality and of course, you cannot kick it.

10. Gold Lamborghini Aventador model car
One of the most luxurious and desired sport cars has its most expensive miniature. A German engineer named Robert Gulpen created a model version called Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 that was worth $4.8 million (€4.6 million). They toy was crafted at a scale of 1:18 and it was made of platinum, carbon fiber, gold and diamonds.

Fans of slot car racing would be excited to find this full-sized Porsche 917 replica hides a 1:32-scale wooden slot car track in it. It comes with 12 cars and analog controllers. This amazing car track is a reproduction of the world’s oldest active sports raceway, the iconic Le Mans track in France. It can be yours with $125,000 (€119,695).

 12. Gold Nintendo Gameboy
Who hasn’t spent hours of playing electronic games? The limited edition of Nintendo Gameboy, the world´s most popular handheld toy, was created by British jewelers “Asprey of London” in 2006. Made from 18-karat gold and diamonds, it costs $25,000 (€23,931). A quick game of Tetris will never feel as chic as when played on this unique Gameboy.

13. Nintendo Wii Supreme
Another electronic game at its best. This is the most expensive video game console ever and costs $485,000 (€464,251). The body is a gold-coated mass (22-karat gold) and the front buttons are adorned with 78 quarter-cut diamonds. This luxury Nintendo Wii Supreme was created in 6 months, by Stuart Hughes, the man who created the most expensive iPhone.

This is the most realistic racing simulator for hours of fun. Selected by Ford Motor Company to demonstrate ride experiences, the simulator uses linear servo actuators that cause its suspended, monocoque fiberglass chassis to roll, pitch, and rotate 360° at up to 0.5G acceleration. Let’s take a ride at the price of $185,000 (€177,255).

If you just want to explore the sea and have fun below and on water, Killer Whale Submarine is the best luxury toy for you. It was designed to look exactly like the Orca whale and it has two seats for you and a friend. The pilot uses levers to control pectoral fins and steers with foot pedals. Be like another Nemo driver for $90,000 (€86,287).
