You pay to be coddled in such a privileged location, just 300 feet from the slopes in a glitzy resort studded with Chanel and Hermès boutiques.

 

You can find it two hours away from the Geneva International Airport, and less than 100 meters (328 feet) from the Crans-Montana Ski Resort.

Guests are invited to unwind by the fireplace, relax in the sauna, soak in the Jacuzzi, enjoy the hammam, swim in the indoor/outdoor pool, or get a perfect treatment in the spa. If you prefer some personal time and private entertaining, you can just stay in your suite and watch TV on the huge plasma TV sets. Orsos Islands is an Austrian firm that has come up with a new and very exciting concept for the ultimate luxury vacation. What they offer are man-made “islands” which look very much like floating dream homes. The island in these pictures measures 121 x 65 feet and has a total of six double guestrooms, plus separate quarters for the staff (four members).

The builders of the island paid special attention to the project’s eco-friendliness, giving it an autonomous power supply that works on solar and wind energy, and which also uses seat recovery from sea water.
