The New York Palace hotel has thrown
open the doors of its newest bar, Trouble’s Trust, after undergoing a
$140 million (103.588.600 Euro) renovation.
The new bar has been named after hotel
heiress Leona Helmsley’s pet Trouble who inherited a $12 million dollar
trust fund after her demise. This exclusive cocktail bar and lounge
offers a diverse range of beers, wines and cocktails for a pre-theater
drink, post-work happy hour, or night cap. Located under the hotel’s
Lobby Grand Staircase, this drinking hole features a modern design
by Champalimaud. The place is spruced up with red lacquer walls,
embossed leather panels, curved leather banquettes along with leather
lounge chairs. The 26-foot-long curve liquid metal bar dominates the
area along with a floor-to-ceiling wine display that glows.
The cocktail menu also syncs with the
dedication, printed with golden paws and listing exclusively concocted
cocktails like The Pampered Pooch honoring Trouble and Queen of Mean
named after the hotelier and heiress Leona Helmsley.
