Not many hotels can boast of a Michelin star for all of its
restaurants. Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris has become the first hotel in
Europe to earn the prestigious Michelin award for all three of its restaurants.
Le Cinq, L’Orangerie and Le George.
Signature restaurant Le Cinq first earned its three Michelin
stars in 2016 with Chef Christian Le Squer at the helm. This French haute
cuisine restaurant retained its three stars this year.
L’Orangerie led by Chef David Bizet gained a Michelin star
after just eight months of its opening in May 2016. The menu at L’Orangerie is
based on the four seasons and the pillars of contemporary French gastronomy. Le
George presents a more modern interpretation of Mediterranean cuisine and is
led by Chef Simone Zanoni. A remarkable feat for both restaurants considering
both are fairly new.
Jose Silva, regional vice president and general manager of
Four Seasons Hotel George V, said in a statement “We believe that a memorable
stay would be incomplete without an extraordinary dining experience… We are
honored to be the first hotel in Europe to hold this designation and look
forward to many more years of culinary excellence.”
