The best steak houses in Dubai recommended by Passion4Luxury

Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse
Ruth’s Chris, which is now open in well over 100 locations across the globe, was born in New Orleans, USA. Like it or loath it, the chain is staggeringly popular. The Address Dubai Marina outlet is always bustling. With dark wood, maroon booths, starched white table cloths and grand chandeliers, it sums up its New Orleans roots perfectly – a wonderful blend of cosmopolitan refinement and deep southern charm.

West 14th New York Grill & Bar
Of course, the steakhouse was made famous in New York, and it’s where most modern versions take their inspiration. West 14th takes this ideal and runs with it, with dimmed red and black hues, low-key jazz music and juicy steaks, accompanied by world-class sides. In the winter, the outdoor area has stunning views of Dubai’s skyline, which complements rather than detracts from the “Noo Yoik” vibe.

The Hide
Fronted by renowned British chef Nick Cuadrado, The Hide is a hotspot for carnivores to open in Dubai. Located in Jumeirah Al Qasr hotel, it is inspired by the best modern meateries in gastronomic centres in the US such as New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.

The Butcher Shop & Grill
Looking for no-nonsense chefs who’ll take pride in serving up the choicest cuts? The Butcher Shop & Grill have you covered. It might not be where you’d take your loved one for an anniversary spectacular, but there’s no arguing with the quality of food. It’s got the added bonus of being an actual butcher’s shop too, so you can take some cuts home to cook yourself.

The Grand Grill
This award-winning South African steak house is relatively low key, but what it lacks in frills in makes up for in quality steak. We recommend sitting outside (when the weather is cool enough), and then taking your pick from the huge range of cuts including South African 100 Day Grain Fed and Australian Wagyu 6+ Marble.

Prime68
If you check out this place make sure you book a table with a view. As the name suggests, it’s on the 68th floor, so it’s a great place to get some Instagram snaps. The chefs use premium artisan suppliers, and the menu has some of the finest beef from farms around the world.

Seafire Steakhouse and Bar
We couldn’t make a steak list without mentioning Seafire. The restaurant in Atlantis The Palm has become famous for its all-natural grain fed Austrian beef – fittingly named Atlantis Cattle. Make sure you try the beef carpaccio – it might sound like an overload of beef if you also have steak for your main, but it’s definitely worth it.

The Maine Oyster Bar & Grill
No gimmicks, concepts or culinary journeys. Just good food, cooked well. The menu is a comforting collection of seafood – applewood-smoked mussels, freshly shucked oysters, fish grilled on live charcoal, classic clam chowders – and steak, whether a rib-eye for two or the classic tartare. Desserts of maple pudding, rocky road brownie or key lime pie will have you dreaming of autumnal leaves and boat trips over crystalline lakes.

Nusr-Et Steakhouse
If you haven’t seen a Salt Bae meme, you probably don’t have an internet connect… and as a result you’re probably not reading this article. Check out the infamous Nusr-Et if you fancy seeing some theatrics along with your meal – you might even meet the man himsel

The City Grill Al Habtoor City
This place ticks several Pinterest-worthy interior boxes – dark wood, industrial chic, low hanging exposed bulbs. The restaurant in The Atrium at Al Habtoor City is all about South African-style food, which, of course, means great steak.

Gaucho
You haven’t done steak until you’ve done Gaucho. The Argentinian restaurant is amongst the cream of Dubai’s carnivorous crop, and the dark, modish space is clad in cowhide, reflecting the bovine themed menu. The brand is well-known in London for its contemporary atmosphere, and the Dubai restaurant is no different, with super-luxe finishes.

Il Capo
The menu consists of storied Italian-American cuisine such as beef nduja crostini and black pepper conchiglie with short-rib ragu. There’s also a “Pizza Table” where you can learn to master this classic culinary art.
