"A magnificent safari lodge with great drives, amazing views, and a savannah spa: the perfect spot to chill".
Just a half-hour drive from Windhoek's tiny international airport, this 15-room luxury lodge couldn't feel further from civilization. The setting is stunning: expansive bush plains stretching out to distant mountains, all framed under extraordinary skies. Traditional yet dreamy huts naturally blend into the epic surroundings, featuring hand-thatched roofs, private terraces, and soaking tubs that look out over breathtaking panoramas. It's a wildly romantic affair. Each hut is decorated with attention to detail, providing
comfort and privacy, offering panoramic views of the savannah. The interior
combines local decorative elements with luxurious furnishings, creating a cozy
atmosphere that allows guests to fully immerse themselves in the beauty of
African nature. Each hut is equipped with modern amenities, including Wi-Fi, air
conditioning, a Nespresso capsule coffee machine, an electric kettle, a TV, a mini bar, a telephone, a safe, a hairdryer, and a Bluetooth speaker. A private concierge is at
guests' disposal, who will help organize an exciting game drive or take care of
a private meal in your own privacy.
Excursions to see local wildlife can be tailored to guests’
requirements and can range from safari drives to treks organized by local
experienced guides. There is a spa with two rooms and a range of treatments
inspired by local traditions, and a pool in front of the main communal area for
those in search of a more laid-back safari experience.
French hotelier Arnaud Zannier created this place following
a chance encounter with Angelina Jolie in Cambodia. The actress suggested he
purchase this 9,000-hectare reserve and join forces with the remarkable N/a’an
ku sĂȘ Conservation Foundation. A beautiful partnership was born. Yet Omaanda
isn’t just a place for game drives. The foundation’s work can be witnessed
through inspirational excursions, from walking with cheetahs to visiting the
animal sanctuary and even feeding carnivores.
