Cartier has
created the first chronograph for its Cartier Fine Watchmaking line, and called
it Rotonde de Cartier Perpetual Calendar Chronograph (aka “quantième perpétuel
chronographe”). The 42 mm case is available in two versions: a white
gold/silver combination, and a rose gold/chocolate variation.
A true
pleasure to look at, but also an exquisite piece of miniature mechanics, the
watch is powered by a Caliber MC 9423 movement with sunburst finish. Two of its
most important features are the perpetual calendar chronograph complication and
the column-wheel chronograph. Its price is expected to fit somewhere
between 45.400Euro ($60,000) and 53.00Euro ($70,000)
