The
Esplanade Hotel, the most prestigious hotel in Zagreb, was built in 1925, with
the purpose of offering supreme accommodation and services to travellers on the
famous Orient Express, which commuted between Paris and Istanbul.
Today, the
Esplanade Hotel is one of the most elegant buildings in Zagreb, and ever since
its beginnings it has been a key place for social events in the capital city.
The hotel offered its guest a level of luxury previously unseen, and
celebrities always chose the Esplanade for their accommodation. The list of
famous guests includes Josephine Baker, Charles Lindbergh, Leonid Brezhnev and
many more.

Zinfandel’s
Restaurant –
fine, refined dining with Chef de cuisine Ana Grgić’s unique take on a
contemporary interpretation of traditional Croatian cuisine. With delightful
views over the terrace and the option to dine al fresco in the summer,
Zinfandel’s is widely regarded as Croatia’s no.1 restaurant and has won
numerous awards; it is still served by Croatia’s first Sommelier and patisserie
is prepared by Croatia’s top chef patissier. Zinfandel’s is widely tipped for
Michelin recognition when the country is recognized by the guide
Le Bistro unashamedly
blends Croatian cuisine with Parisian tradition. It is a celebration of the
hotel’s deco heritage and has a glazed seating area and buzzing terrace with a
grill menu operating in the summer. It is famous for its celebration of
seasonal local produce including Istrian truffle, sea asparagus and cepes as
well as producing traditional favourites such as the famous “Esplanade
Štrukli”.

the Presidential Suite sprawling over 120 square metres of elegance with an expansive
dining and living area, small kitchen with off-corridor access for private
dining service, a luxurious bathroom with jacuzzi bath and private sauna and
adjoining bedroom suitable for the family or personal assistant. The suite has
wonderful views over the terrace and fountain park.
The Health Club is the perfectly formed little spa. It has a
well-equipped fitness area and offers a wide range of therapies, facial and
body treatments designed to de-stress, replenish and revitalize. In 2012 it
become the first selected Kanebo Sensai Salon in Croatia.
