Dubai is known for its lavishness, sure, but it looks like
some of the architects in this famous city are looking to reinvent the very
meaning of luxury by creating homes that look like they came straight out of a
science fiction novel.
The concept of floating homes is not exactly a new one,
but it’s definitely impressive to see one of these amazing residences up close.
A company named Kleindienst Group has spent 5,000 hours of research as well as
13,000 hours in order to design and build this impressive floating home.
The abode is a part of the Floating Seahorse project, which
is located in Dubai’s Heart of Europe island chain. It costs $2.8 million, and
it will be accompanied by another 41 houses by October 2016, while the entire
project will comprise 131 of these masterpieces in its final form. Main
highlights include a stunning living room, a minibar, a Jacuzzi, a kitchen and
a shower area at the upper floor, while the lower underwater volume comprises a
bathroom and a bedroom complemented by a 500-square-foot coral garden just
outside the window. This coral garden acts as a home for lovely seahorses, and
the project’s creators hope that they will be able to restore the endangered
species in this area of Dubai.
