Four Seasons' New Private Island Retreat is a UNESCO Hideaway

This month, Four Seasons unveiled the newest addition to its collection, a private island retreat located on a UNESCO hideaway located in a World Biosphere Reserve.
Four Seasons Private Island Maldives at Voavah, Baa Atoll will open later this year on the five-acre archipelago and will be available to exclusive, whole-island bookings only.

The resort can accommodate up to 22 people and will feature seven bedrooms, a Beach House, dive center, spa, staff quarters and 62-foot personal yacht. Among the villas are a two and three-bedroom residence along with Mezzanine Suites which are located at either end of the Beach House. The upper unit rooms include outdoor sea-view showers, panoramic balconies and king-sized beds. For parents, the Bunk Room off of the suites creates a great place for kids to enjoy their own little hideaway.

The Beach House will be the property’s central hub, offering an open-air living room, pool deck, library and loft lounge, dining room, kitchen and gym. Although guests can choose to cook their own meals, the resort’s staff is happy to create any items you’d wish or even craft a fun kid’s cooking night for the family to enjoy. If you’d prefer canapés by the pool, cocktails on the yacht during the sunset and dinner in the main dining room, the team will arrange every detail so you don’t have to.

Since its a UNESCO site, the ocean is filled with a plethora of colorful marine life and is a great destination for snorkeling, diving and swimming with turtles. At the spa, guests can participate in an over-water therapy or spend the morning practicing yoga, meditation or pranayama classes.

The island is accessible via a 40-minute seaplane transfer from Malé International Airport and a 20-minute speedboat ride from Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru. Rates are available upon request.
