Located on one of the highest points on the cliffs surrounding the Santorini caldera, with truly spectacular views, and made up of only four apartments and two villas, Dreams Luxury Suites are as exclusive as they get.
Dreams Luxury Suites has no restaurant, lobby, bar, or main pool, which allows the staff to dedicate themselves to serving the guests in their apartments. It’s a setup that renders itself well to a very personal and friendly approach.
ROMANCE IN AN EXCLUSIVE PACKAGE
The white walls of Dreams Luxury Suites curve and bend
around corners and ceilings, giving the interior an appearance of natural cave
formations, and resembling traditional Santorini housing.
Each apartment has been infused with its own personality.
Orfeas is dominated by yellow accent color, the Nefeli by blue, and Armonia’s
charming wooden shutters are green. Foivos has two bedrooms and bathrooms and
the largest swimming pool—ideal for groups of friends or families with older
children.
The view from all suites is simply one of a kind, but there
is plenty of little details as well that can make the stay extra special — such
as rose petals strewn on the bed, fresh-cut flowers, champagne breakfasts,
candles lit on the terrace at night, a bottle of local wine and fruit basket on
arrival. Dreams Luxury Suites provides a lot of opportunities for romantic
moments.
FOOD
The exceptionally rich, delicious breakfasts are served in
the room, or on a private terrace outside, overlooking the caldera. A wide
selection of Greek delicacies, eggs, coffee, and freshly squeezed juice is
accompanied either by champagne or the delicious—our favorite—Santorini
Vinsanto (local wine).
Light lunches are also served in the room, but there are
many restaurants close to the hotel, thanks to its convenient location on the
outskirts of the beautifully situated village of Imerovigli. Fira, the bustling
capital of the island, is a twenty-minute stroll away.
WHAT WE LOVE
- Great location and fantastic views of the caldera. Unlike many hotels overlooking the Caldera, Dreams is located away from noise and crowds, but close enough to the restaurants in Imerovigli
- Only six suites of the hotel make Dreams an incredibly exclusive place—and give a real sense of privacy.
- We especially recommend the two-level Armonia suite.
- The hotel also offers Opera Mansion Dream Villa, a separate property located in Fira.
- There aren’t many stairs, which is rare in a cliff-side hotel on Santorini.
- Discreet and friendly staff, who never fail to give the best sightseeing tips or recommend a restaurant.
- Magical atmosphere, especially at sunset
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
- As one might expect, quality goes hand in hand with price. The prices are steep in the peak season, but then the view itself is worth it.
- Apartment Nefeli has a large Jacuzzi instead of a plunge pool, and due to the location (next to the sidewalk), this room is the least private, but also the cheapest.
- Other suites have private pools, but they are too small to swim. They are great for cooling in hot weather though.
- Families with young children are not allowed to stay at Dreams—due to the risky location of the hotel high on a cliff.
