Maria Sharapova is Porsche’s Beautiful Brand Ambassador
If you were asked to choose a brand ambassador for Porsche, where would you put tennis icon Maria Sharapova
on your list? Well, even though most people would not think of a female
image for the German brand, the gorgeous Russian-born athlete has
recently signed a 3-year deal with Porsche. An unexpected choice? May
be, but it is also an excellent one, by our standards.

Discover the Outstanding 2014 Aston Martin Rapide S
Aston
Martin lovers, the new Rapide S is here, and it’s awesome! Still the best
looking 4-door sedan in the world, the vehicle provides more utility and
accommodation than all the other two-door beasts signed by the British
manufacturer. Some believe that its overall performance is not that impressive,
but that might just be a matter of opinion. It has a 100kmh (0-60 mph) time of 4.7
seconds, a top speed of 305kmh (190 mph), and the muscle of 550 hp.

Porsche Unveils the Improved 2014 Cayman and Cayman S
The 2012
Los Angeles Auto Show has seen a lot of automotive goodies. One of them is the
2014 Porsche Cayman, based on the Porsche Boxster. The new ride is lower, wider
and longer than the previous version, and it flaunts a new lightweight body as
well.
Engine
wise, the automaker did some magic and obtained a six-cylinder engine that is
both more powerful and more efficient than before. It has a 15% lower fuel
consumption, and 10 extra horsepower. The base version is powered by a
2.7-liter flat six engine with an output of 271, which can be coupled to a
6-speed manual transmission for a 0-62 mph time of 5.7 seconds; a PDK
dual-clutch unit for 5.6 seconds; or a Sport Chrono kit for 5.4 seconds.

Bentley Continental 3GT Concept
After
almost a decade of racing absence, Bentley is ready to reenter the race track
with a new vehicle: the Continental GT3. Currently only in concept stage
(unveiled at the Paris Motor Show), the car is based on the Continental GT
Speed, which Bentley says “is the perfect car for us to develop into a racer”.
The new
racer’s career is scheduled to begin sometime at the end of 2013, and the plan
is to prove what the GT is really capable of, and also to establish “a solid
foundation for Bentley’s long-term motorsport plans”, according to Wolfgang
Schreiber, the company’s CEO and Chairman.
The concept
looks really amazing, with a wide body kit , side exhaust pies, and a stripped
out interior. Powering the vehicle will probably be an awesome turbocharged W12
with racing features.
While the GT Speed has an AWD configuration, the GT3 will
have to feature a rear wheel drive in order to meet racing regulations.

Porsche 911 Carrera S PDK
You may not
see it when you first cast a glance at it, but the Porsche 911 Carrera S PDK
flaunts quite a few design changes. Reinventing the iconic 911 is never an easy
task, mainly because all changes have to be made in a manner that allows the
new version to stay true to the 911 legacy. With that purpose in mind, Porsche
completely upgraded the exterior of the car (almost all components were
re-developed or re-designed).
Some of
these changes include a new aluminum-steel composite body which is 40 kg (88
lbs) more lightweight than its predecessor’s, a 100mm longer wheelbase,
remodeled and re-positioned wing mirrors (on the upper edge of the door
panels), slit-eyed LED tail-lights, a
lower stance, shorter overhangs, smaller engine cover, and new headlights which
even though seem to be round, they have a slightly elliptical shape.
