Tswalu Kalahari - South Africa
Tswalu
Kalahari is the largest private game reserve in South Africa and a wonderful
destination for luxe travelers who also love nature and wildlife. Perfectly
blending into the landscape, the resort is an intimate, low-profile paradise
that brings people closer to the wonderful live shows that Mother Nature puts
on every single day.
National
Geographic-like experiences will enchant you during your entire stay at Tswalu.
Horseback safari, early morning bushwalks, game drives, these are some of the
activities that will certainly make your vacation unforgettable. The resort
also offers the possibility to just sit and relax in the sun, next to the
lovely outside pool, and admiring the superb scenery.
Tswalu is
owned by the Oppenheimer family, and guests can choose to stay at the owner’s
personal home, Tarkuni, or at the resort’s main property, The Motse. Tarkuni
can accommodate up to ten guests in lavish conditions: five luxe bedrooms with
en-suite baths, two lounges with fireplaces, indoor and outdoor heated showers,
a swimming pool and a covered deck. The Motse features eight individual suites
and can accommodate up to twenty guests. They all have en-suite facilities,
private sun decks, open fireplaces and Wi-Fi access.
Before you
retreat to your lavish room, you are invited to enjoy a fine dinner with
delicious dishes and expensive South African wines. Visiting the spa here is
also a must, but the opportunities for fun and relaxation do not end here.
Hot-air balloon rides, visits at ancient archaeological sites, flights to the
Augrabies Falls, these and more are all exciting activities that you must not
miss at Tswalu.
