The latest
iteration of the ICEHOTEL, which is called ICEHOTEL #22, contains 1 Deluxe
suite, 16 Art suites, 20 ice rooms, 8 snow rooms and 2 group rooms. There are
47 rooms in total during the winter season of 2011/2012.
his year’s
artists come from 15 countries, among others: Argentina, Estonia, Spain, Italy,
Norway and The Netherlands. They arrived in Jukkasjärvi in two turns/teams. The
first team built from 6th until 24th November and the second team between 20th
November until 8th December. Thousands of guests flood in every year to sleep
in rooms made of ice and snow, share wedding vows in the Ice church and enjoy
many cold drinks in the ABSOLUT ICEBAR.
Prices
start at about $500 for a basic 3-bed snowroom and go up to several thousand a
night for one of the designer suites.
