mountain spirit thanks to the rooms’ views: rooms facing south are oriented to

The Kulm Hotel is a luxury hotel with a special history. As
Johannes Badrutt founded it in 1856, he also laid the foundation stone for
winter tourism. With a bet he could inspire his summer guests from experiencing
the Engadin winter. In 1864 winter tourism was born in the former summer residence.
Since then, the Kulm Hotel is characterized by its style and authenticity. It
was here at the Kulm Hotel where the first electric arc light in Switzerland
was lit. It was here at the Kulm Park in St. Moritz where in 1928 and 1948 the
Winter Olympic Games were officially opened.
The Kulm Hotel has always practiced the high art of refined
gourmet cuisine. 5 restaurants with various culinary offers, which range from
carefully prepared local specialties to international haute cuisine.
