Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen new mansion

Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen has purchased a new mansion in Atherton, California.

Allen paid $27 million for the estate, which sits on two acres of land and has a 22,000+ square foot mansion. The home features walls of glass, vaulted ceilings, six bedrooms, four powder rooms, a spa, a home movie theater and seven fireplaces. There is also a detached guest house with two bedrooms and a kitchen. On the outside, there’s a private pool, fire pit and patio area.
Allen’s home is a new construction. The Microsoft co-founder is worth an estimated $16 billion. He is also the owner of the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks and the NBA’s Portland Trail Blazers.
The Atherton area is one of the most affluent in the country, and home to some of the nation’s top tech royalty, including Google’s Eric Schmidt and HP’s Meg Whitman.
