Life will be fabulous if we can have the “Most Fabulous High Tea in the World” at Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong on a regular basis or just once, except most of us can’t, so let’s just read about it.
Luxury hotel Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong and high-end jeweler Graff Diamonds have teamed up to treat lovely ladies (lads are welcome too) to fabulous, fashionable and mouthwatering afternoon high tea starting January 1, 2014.
A super perk that come with the afternoon tea is the treasure trunk filled with an array of exquisite in-house made Graff jewelry – diamond and gem studded rings, necklaces and luxury watches. Dining guests are invited to try on jewelry and purchase them if they so like them. Trunk also carries the afternoon tea.
Architect of the gourmet trunk tea menu Executive Chef Peter Find wanted to combine the best of both worlds for his guests, dining in the lavishness of Ritz-Carlton served by a personal butler, while enjoying craftsmanship of Graff jewelry created in London. Chef Find said “We are particularly intrigued by the butterfly collection which has a wonderful sense of movement and fluidity. Guests should look out for the different whimsical butterfly elements embedded in the treasure trunk”.
On the “Most Fabulous High Tea in the World” menu to satisfy your sweet tooth, inspired by Graff’s famous diamonds Delaire Sunrise and The Graff Pink is hazelnut nougat iced gold. To wash it all down you get a choice of beverages – such as 2002 Dom Pérignon vintage champagne gelée and Tahitian vanilla financier. Or premium coffees and loose leaf tea served on beautiful Vera Wang chinaware.
On the savory side of the menu you’ll be treated to Osetra caviar smoked salmon rose, foie gras apple, 70% chocolate creameux with black truffles and vanilla panna cotta with bird’s nest and gold leaves. They can be paired with 2004 Louis Roederer Cristal Brut or a half bottle of 1998 Chauteau d’yquem Sauterne served on Christofle silverware and Baccarat glassware.
According to Pierre Perusset, General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong, afternoon tea is a way of life in Hong Kong. A fantastic way for ladies to spend afternoons socializing and enjoy finer things in life.
“At Graff we don’t follow trends, we do what we do and that’s what makes a Graff piece so very special,” said Arnaud Bastien, President and Chief Executive of Graff Diamonds Asia. He wants guests to enjoy “one of the most extravagant and luxurious lifetime memories that one will treasure forever.”
The “Most Fabulous High Tea in the World” is priced at HK$10,880 (approx.1020Euro- $1,400) for two persons served in the hotel’s exclusive suites (subject to availability) with a supplement charge and the Club Library at the highest hotel in the world.
