Ritz-Carlton’s newest Reserve property, the third in the
brand, is now open in Ubud, Bali.
Mandapa, named after the entrance to a
traditional Hindu temple, is set along
the majestic Ayung River as it meets the lush jungle in Ubud, the cultural and
spiritual heart of Bali.
Offering individually tailored spiritual, wellness, health
and detox programs, complemented by the full time personalized attention of a
dedicated Patih or butler, the intimate retreat (just 60 total rooms, suites
and villas) is designed to be a sanctuary in which relaxing one’s mind, body,
and soul comes naturally.
Located in a district famous for its arts and crafts as well
as temples and monasteries, this exceptional property occupies a prime yet
secluded position in the gentle hills along the Ayung River. Architectural
design inspiration is taken from the unique environment of Ubud. The property
will have 60 intimate villas and suites showcasing architectural features
indigenous to Bali with elements of the local art scene giving the Ritz-Carlton
Reserve a powerful yet rare sense of place.
Every space will be carefully curated to amplify the
sophisticated individuality and needs of each guest. Lush gardens, hillside
views, meditative areas and meandering pathways follow the natural lie of the
land and lead to a luxurious spa offering bespoke treatments and two swimming
pools designed to respect the guest’s needs for privacy and intimate personal
space. With personal day beds, and sheltered spaces, guests will be able to
truly discover deeply individual spaces to call their own.
Dedicated butlers will personalize every detail recognizing
