WPP and Millward Brown released the BrandZ Top 100 List today and named
the world’s most valuable brands. For the second year in a row, Louis
Vuitton takes the top spot for luxury fashion brands.
LOUIS Vuitton, Hermes and Gucci were the top three global luxury brands
of 2013, with Fendi and Coach entering the top 10 for the first time
Despite the 12 percent year-over-year decrease experienced by the brand,
Louis Vuitton still got firs place with a value of $22.7 billion.
Coming in at second place is Hermès valued at $19.1 billion.
First timers at the top 10 list are Coach and Fendi.
The top 10 luxury brands are as follows:
1. Louis Vuitton
2. Hermès
3. Gucci
4. Prada
5. Rolex
6. Chanel
7. Cartier
8. Burberry
9. Fendi
10. Coach
The research firm MillwardBrown also reported that purchases in China and other Asian tourists in Europe notably affected the sales and rankings of these luxury brands. The study also stated that luxury brands have somehow become more “accessible, collaborative and experimental”.
