Top 10 Magical Christmas Destinations

Ho! Ho! Ho! Let’s travel with Santa’s sleigh around the world at "the most wonderful time of the year"!

We create a list of top 10 destinations and hotels around the world especially for Christmas and we present it to you.

10. Tokyo, Japan
We start our journey from Japan, where the entire city of Tokyo is illuminated by thousands of sparkling lights. Glittering huge Christmas trees are a must-see. Enter in a mystical world of light and romance and warm up your heart.

A historic, luxury hotel in the heart of the city. Most rooms have spacious balconies which offer the best views, over the Imperial gardens and futuristic skyscrapers -plus Tokyo Tower- in the distance.

9. Sydney, Australia
Santa goes south for unusual summer Christmas. We are invited in beach and boat parties while watching the spectacular Sydney harbour fireworks. The city is set to come alive with carols and lights. Don’t forget your swimsuit!

Situated within Sydney's historic Rocks district, this 5-star hotel offers breathtaking views of Circular Quay, Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. Exotic décor touches and luxury furniture, amenities, and linens add a little something extra to these soothing spaces.

8. San Francisco, California
Reindeers fly above Pacific Ocean and we land in the “City by the Bay”, which becomes magical during Christmas. Trains, cable cars, neighborhoods parks and more than 60 boats are adorned with thousands of blinking lights.

The city’s highest-rated hotel is located in the upscale Nob Hill area. A neoclassical landmark redefines the luxury hotel experience, combining intimacy, comfort and exclusivity with the personalized service and attention to detail that are the hallmarks of The Ritz-Carlton.

7. Quebec, Canada
Next stop on our magical journey is on the other side of America, where we dreamt of a white Christmas. We eat a lot of popular maple sweets while enjoying festive Christmas decorations, special holiday shopping and the infectious French joie de vivre.

More than a hotel, it is the symbol of the city. Originally built in 1893, this is one of the most photographed hotels in the world. Live your own dream in this mythical place, where many personalities and famous guests have stayed.

6. Prague, Czech Republic
Our sleigh makes a transatlantic flight and we land in the historical capital of Bohemia. While we are wandering around cobble stone streets and the city's famed Christmas market, we live our romantic Christmas fairytale in colorful baroque scenery.

Just a few steps from the fabled, dramatic Charles Bridge, this intimate, historic retreat promises a very personal touch with storybook charm and gracious, intuitive service. In this luxurious boutique hotel, the transmutation of regular nights into gold ones comes true.

5. Copenhagen, Denmark
Let’s fly to the capital of the happiest country on Earth. Feel the positive Christmas energy in the air. We enter in Tivoli Gardens amusement park, which is decorated with spruce and myriads of fairy lights and we follow the scent of roasted almonds and homemade donuts.

A historic grande dame hotel, which is famous for its fairytale-like Christmas decorations, has everything you expect from a five-pearl experience. Originally established in 1755, the city's most glamorous slumber palace overlooks the lovely King’s Square.

4. Vienna, Austria
Next station the beautiful and romantic Vienna, where the Christmas season becomes an unforgettable experience. We can’t wait to visit Christmas markets where unique gifts, tree decorations, delicious sweets and warming drinks are awaiting us.

The grandest of grand hotels was built in 1863 as one of the palaces lining the new Ringstrasse (Ring Boulevard) for Prince von Württemberg and transformed into hotel 10 years later for the universal exhibition. Every room is decorated with different antique furniture and artworks, which makes each one completely unique. Live like a king/ queen!

3. Rovaniemi, Finland
We fly now north because Santa wants to give a kiss to Mrs. Claus and it’s time for us to visit his homeland. His elves give us a tour in Finnish Lapland and we experience the real magic of Christmas. Fun fact: Santa’s real Finnish name is Joulupukki!

Located on the Arctic Circle, the hotel’s special Aurora Borealis alarm service guarantees that you won’t miss an appearance of the Northern Lights. If you manage to survive a night in your chilly room you can come away with a "diploma" on spending the night in Arctic conditions.

2. Colmar, France
The sleigh this time takes us in the “Little Venice” of the Alsace region, a city where the magic of Christmas can be experienced in its purest form. Our way will be drawn by illuminations linking to the city’s five Christmas markets, in a labyrinth of small streets lined with century old half-timbered houses. The most fantastic scenery where Christmas holidays become fairytales.

The hotel building dates back to 1565 and has been declared as a historic monument. You can choose one of the hotel's elegant cozy rooms, which are all different and decorated in a rustic style with antique furniture. Everything about the place has charm, tranquility and courtesy.

1. Bruges, Belgium
We finish our beautiful journey in the capital and largest city of the province of West Flanders, in one of the most historic and well-preserved Medieval towns in the world. We eat sweets such as “Babelutten” (caramel candy) and “Neuzekes” (cuberdons) while enjoying a cup of hot chocolate to the narration of Christmas music. Christmas in Bruges is unforgettable.

The only five-star hotel in Bruges is a magnificent enhancement to this unique UNESCO World Heritage City. Rebuilt in neogothic style in the 1880s and now carefully refurbished in a scheme that mixes modern comfort with historic legacy. It stands on the site of the Prinsenhof, the 15th -century palace of the Dukes of Burgundy- hence the hotel’s name.

 Merry Christmas!!!
