Ferrari 458 Speciale

The newest beast is also shaped to be in effortless control as it is fitted with innovative Side Slip angle Control system. The Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 tyres have been exclusively designed to enhance the performance and render ultimate grip even on wet terrain.
Conceived to deliver the best, the 458 Speciale tucks one more feather on its hood. It has the fastest response time (0.060 s) and highest lateral acceleration (1.33 g) ever achieved by a car in the Prancing Horse range.
We had seen the Ferrari 458 Italia debut at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. Fours years down, we are thrilled to witness the debut of a hardcore variant of the same at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.

Ferrari 458 Speciale is the latest car unleashed from the Prancing Horse’s stable. Boasting of a robust 4.5-liter V8 heart, it generates 596 horsepower, which is bit more than the earlier 458s. This in turn hikes the zooming capacity of 458 Speciale as it can sprint from 0 to 62 mph in 3 seconds and 0 to 124 mph in 9.1 seconds. It has also clocked a lap time of just 1 min 23.5 sec at the Fiorano Circuit.

Designed to boost performance and deliver smooth control, Speciale also boasts of a lighter body (1,290 kg only) and advanced active aerodynamics. The Italian sports car manufacturer claims that the most notable features are the front and rear movable aerodynamics which balance downforce and cut drag, thus helping make the 458 Speciale the most aerodynamically efficient range production car in Ferrari history.
