The
most famous women’s fragrance ever made, the Chanel No.5, is now
available, joy of joys, in a 30-ounce bottle priced at 3.200 Euro ($4,200).
This is probably enough to last for more
than 2 years. Weighing at around two pounds, this limited edition
bottle is dubbed the Grand Extrait edition. There’s also another Grand
Extrait bottle available for purchase, containing 7.5 ounces of the
precious perfume, with a lower price tag, of $2,100. The Grand Extrait
bottle contains fragrance of the most “exceptional quality” according to
Ruthie Vexler, the spokeswoman of Chanel. The bottle itself is
reportedly delivered inside a “hand-assembled, artisan-crafted case”.
Furthermore, as Chanel officials
describe, just very few of these bottles will be produced each year,
therefore you’ll have to order yours rather quickly. There aren’t many
details regarding the liquid though, but additional info will probably
be provided during the following weeks.
Among those celebrities intimately tied
to the Chanel No.5 there are Brad Pitt and Nicole Kidman. In an even
more impressive manner, Marilyn Monroe was asked what she wore to bed
and she had famously and nicely replied “why, Chanel No.5, of course”.
This is how famous and important this thingy is.
